PURPOSE

To provide information about the medications used to treat asthma

GOAL

The patient/parent will understand how the medications work, how to take them, and the most common side effects.

APPLICATION

You need to know the name and strength of your medications.  It is not enough to know color and size, you need to know how the medication works and the side effects that most frequently occur.  Medication types and dosages may need to be changed if they are not working correctly or are causing side effects.
